 BAHASA INGGRIS UJIAN SELEKSI MASUK STAN

Pada awalnya, soal bahasa Inggris dalam ujian seleksi masuk STAN terdiri dari beberapa bagian, yaitu Reading Comprehension, Vocabulary dan Structure dan usage. Namun saat ini, soal bahasa Inggris dalam USM STAN telah ditambah dengan soal mengenai idiom dan error recognition

       Bagian selanjutnya dari modul ini berisi tentang dasar teori yang memudahkan siswa menjawab soal-soal bahasa Inggris dalam USM STAN dilengkapi dengan soal latihan dari soal-soal bahasa Inggris USM STAN tahun-tahun sebelumnya.

CONDITIONAL adalah kalimat  pengandaian.

Conditional terdiri dari anak kalimat (if clause) dan induk kalimat (main clause).

Contoh:

§ If he comes early, he won’t be punished.

§ If there were a traffic jam, I would be late.

§ He would have answered all questions if he had studied.

 

Jika yang ditanya adalah meaning atau real fact suatu kalimat Conditional, maka:

 

Type I	kemungkinan (possibility) ditandai dengan: § perhaps           Simple Present § possible/y + § probable/y       Present Future
Type II	Simple Present (bertentangan dengan Conditional nya)
Type III	Simple Past (bertentangan dengan Conditional nya)

 

Contoh:

§ If I knew it, I would tell you. It means:

I don’t know it, so I don’t tell you.

§ They will have breakfast if she prepares it for them. It means:

Perhaps, she prepares it for them.

§ He would have gone to the party if he had been invited. It means:

He didn’t go to the party because he wasn’t invited
